I taught myself to crochet and really enjoy it. The crochet crowd are fantastic. They are on Facebook and have really good simple videos to watch and lots of free patterns

I just learnt how to crochet last year! Went for a couple of classes locally where they taught me how to do a chain, single stitch, magic ring and increasing/decreasing stitches, and how to sew parts together to make cute stuffed things. Have made a couple of cute stuffed things since!

I have heard Youtube is decent for learning how to crochet too, I needed a refresher after my class as I had forgotten how to do a magic ring so used Youtube for this.

Would also suggest investing in a nice comfortable crochet hook too. There are different sizes too.

Ultimate aim is to try to do one of those tsum tsum crochet figures - I did buy a couple of kits but the ones I have are in Japanese! So have been very hesitant to start on them...

I also recommend Bella coco, and Mikey from The Crochet Crowd, great YouTube tutorials for easy and hard stitches. I learnt to crochet 5 years ago, I attempted a newborn hat and it would hardly fit on a Barbie 🤣 but don’t give up.
Also, Deramores have some great prices for yarn, i recommend stylecraft DK, some lovely colours and great to work with, and you might find a discount code on google.
I started with attic24 and made some lovely blankets, and made the pouffe from Its All In a Nut Shell.
Two Hearts crochet family have fantastic free patterns for Disney and Harry Potter blankets
