Today's early update...

Disturbance one still rated as a low possibility of development, has passed over The Dominican Republic and now heading into The Bahama region where it currently has a 10% chance of development and projected to head eastwards out into the Atlantic and up the Eastern coast.

Disturbance 2 is the one to watch, no significant development expected with this tropical wave over the next few days but as it moves westward it is expected to build and a tropical depression could develop over the weekend. Currently rated as a 40% chance of developing.

Todays early morning update...

Disturbance 1 currently sitting off the coast of Cuba heading towards The Bahamas, expected to bring heavy rain to Florida over the coming days. Could pick up as it heads up the Florida coast and turns towards the Southeastern US coast.

Tropical wave coming from Capre Verde Islands is slowly building up, currently a large area of rain & thunderstorms and moving towards the Carribbean islands, expected to develop into a tropical depression early next week as it approaches the Antillies. Currently 70% chance of development over next 5 days...definitely one to watch.

Todays early update...

Only 1 weather front now being reported, the first one no longer being reported as anything more than a weather front, may bring some changeable weather to Florida.

Tropical wave still being reported however, still moving slowly towards the Antilles and there's possibility of a tropical depression forming by early next week...however, the upper level winds are forecast to drop so if this is to be the case, it should drop off mid-late next week as it heads into the Carribbean... i'd still keep an eye on it, just incase.

Was rated at 70% chance of formation yesterday afternoon on the 5 day projection, this has now dropped to 50%

Local news have literally just said they think it’s unlikey to develop so fingers crossed they’re right.

8am EST/12pm GMT update: Now projecting a 40% chance of development, hopefully this drop in their projection will continue and break up like the last one.

Watching with interest! If we actually fly (thanks for the worry BA) we're cruising for the first part of the holiday - so with strikes, hurricanes and storms I'll just be glad to get there!
