Arrival day

I've booked a Marella cruise package for 22 august. My flight arrives at Dubrovnik at 10.30am. The ship doesn't sail until 8pm.

It says in my paperwork that boarding starts at 1pm. Can I board and then go off the boat for the day or can I leave as soon as my case is taken from me and board later?

Yes technically you could drop off your bag with the porters and then go off for a couple of hours into the city. They don't take any details from you when taking your bag to show that you should be checking in. I assume you have already checked what the latest possible boarding time is so just don't cut it too fine.

Personally I'm always dying to get on board and get some lunch lol!

I am too but I've never been to dubrovnik and that'll be my only chance as on the day I return my flight home is at 11am.

Could always go for lunch in board and then go back off and wander about for a good few hours.

Not totally sure if they will let you back off after boarding- best to check with the cruise line!
