Question Newbie

So the husband came home from work a decided he would like to do a Disney Cruise.

We've been to Florida numerous times and know exactly what to expect book etc but this is all new to me and its scary!

We wouldn't go until Aug 2020 and there is 5 of us 2 adults and 3 children (10/12/13)

I've looked on Disney Direct and had a price of just over £3300 for 3 night cruise and I can choose Deck 10 mid or aft, is this a good price, should we book now or wait I really have no idea what to do or what it all means...

Any help or advice would be greatly received

So personally I would go for a 4 rather than a 3 if you can as that extra day at sea is a really nice bonus. That said, price wise you are probably better off booking sooner rather than later. Cruises do occassionally have special offers but its less frequent than holidays and prices tend to go up. Touring plans has a historical price view where you could look up how cruises from a similar time this year have changed over time.

Here's a link to one I picked randomly - touringplans/disney-crui...cat=07A&og= 8

As this shows booking early is cheaper than any offers on a later date

As Sarah says, book sooner rather than later. If you book via a US TA or direct, you can always cancel and get your money back should you decide not to do it.

I would also echo Sarah and say the longer the better. 3 nights is better than none, but honestly, it will be gone in a flash, so the longer the better.

Room wise, I would personally look at 2 connecting inside or oceanview rooms rather than a veranda room that sleeps 5. You'll then have 2 bathrooms, privacy, space and it will be much more comfy for you all. Shouldn't be that much difference in price. The door in the middle opens up and you can wedge it open to make it just like at home (parents in one room, then children in another.)

Let us know if we can help with anything else. A good start would be reading the sticky thread at the top, that will give you lots of info.

Thank you both for the advice. I think we are going to go for the 4 day cruise! IF i book direct with Disney am I still able to change or cancel as long as its in enough time before we travel?

Thanks for the advice on inside cabins, I just priced it up and its only £300 more sounds like it may work better.

Completely. Check the cruise policy but usually you get everything back up to around 180days before the sailing and then it goes down in stages between then and the cruise.

It's defo better to look at 2 rooms ... here's the difference:
Inside room has magical porthole where Disney characters appear every 30 mins (can switch off so dark too). You'd have double this space!

Family deluxe veranda. A little longer due to the 5th bed which then blocks the veranda door.
