online check in/skip the counter Alamo

Hi

We've got 18 days till we fly off, I've been trying to do this online check in with Alamo through Virgin holidays thing. I've used it before with no problems, but for some reason it will not accept my details. Called Virgin yesterday and unusually they were as much use as a chocolate fire guard. All the guy could say in the end is there's a problem with the website try again in a couple of hours, which conveniently would have been after their 7pm closing? cynical me... never! Is anyone else experiencing any problems?

Mmm. Never had that before.

I have done my online check in weeks ago for my April trip but I have 2 other bookings for this year.
I have just clicked on my one for August and the process is working fine - takes me straight to the Alamo site and lets me populate the name/ref no boxes
I would give them a ring.

Exactly the same happened to us in March. The link sent by Virgin didn't work and they were next to useless. We had to join the queue when we got there and it took us nearly 2 hours to get the car (and even then they didn't have the one we ordered)

In that case you would have had a free upgrade as that is an Alamo issue not Virgin.
