Things to do in Miami for a young couple

We are flying in/out of Miami at Christmas, and my OH wants to spend a day or so down there.

Can you recommend things to do? See? Places to stay?
I think we will stay around Miami beach.

I do love latin dancing - salsa & bachata - if anyone can recommend a good bar to go dancing!

Hi, we recently stayed for one night in Miami before our cruise, we stayed in President Hotel, South Beach, which was one block behind Ocean Drive. It was clean, very modern and we had a really large room. Also, breakfast was included and it was buffet style and really good, I would recommend it.

We had our kids with us so couldn't comment on the nightlife, but we walked down Ocean Drive and it looked good. We walked along the beach too, and a day when our ship docked in Miami we did the boat tour along Millionaire Row to see the homes of the rich and famous, we enjoyed this. Hope this helps you

if you like latin music head for Esponola way it is in between 13th and 14th on Washington Ave.

Also the bout tour around biscayne bay is good. You might also be able to catch a Miami heat basketball game if that's your thing.

Can't remember what it's called now, but the bar was right on the main strip, sat upstairs on balcony people watching all day, drinking cocktails. They basically had what looked like washing machines full of cocktails!
Don't remember much about the club after that tho! 🙄🙄

We booked this on a whim and thought, as we’d done the Sea Screamer in Clearwater, we might enjoy it. It was ace! We got absolutely soaked and it was much more intense than the Sea Screamer but didn’t stop laughing the whole time. Saw some seriously expensive houses too
