We stayed at Explorers and going back soon with our 10 month old. We used the shuttles and had no bother at all, even on New Years Eve and New Years Day when the parks were mobbed. NYE we left after the fireworks and it was still fine

My children loved the pool at Explorers, and the whole theme of the hotel. We stayed in a princess suite, which they also loved, especially having their own room, but it did cost us double the price of a standard room, even with a voucher code (it was a Christmas treat.)

Having said that, we only stayed there for our last night, and had our car with us (it was parked at the DLH, so we left after the 10pm fireworks and got to Explorers quickly and easily.) We didnt have park tickets for the next day, so spent the morning in the pool, before setting off home. We generally like to walk to the parks when were onsite though, so I can see the appeal of the closer offsite hotels listed above.

I finally decided on the Dream Castle. I hope its OK. It's only for 2 nights and we won't be in our room much. And I'm sure we can cope with the shuttle bus scrum.

Weve stayed at Dream Castle, Magic Circus and Explorers out of those.
Didnt like Explorers, but the other two were nice.
Weve never used the shuttle buses as we go over in our own car. Park tickets and parking were included when we went (last time around 10 years ago), has that changed now?
We have stayed in an apartment at the Residhome at Val dEurope too which was fine. Again though, we had our car so just drove to the parks.
