I Drive Recommendations
We will be amending our dates to next year but I am not sure if Virgin Holidays do split stays or not. However, if not we will look elsewhere as we now want to stay for 3 weeks. We have decided to stay on site for the first week and I’ve got my heart set on CBR! For the other 2 weeks it will be off site but does anyone have any off site recommendations around the I-Drive area please?
We do not want to drive so ideally if the hotels have shuttle services to Universal and Sea World would be needed. Additionally, if there is a service (whether extra costs or not) back to Disney for some days that would also be helpful. We are 2 adults going in August and have previously stayed at Rosen Shingle Creek. Absolutely loved the hotel and the amazing breakfasts but being walking distances to restaurants / supermarkets (and trolley stops) would be preferred. Edited at 07:13 PM. |

Can't recommend Homewood suites enough. Great hotel and in a good location for pointe Orlando and the Orlando eye area.

I’d also recommend Homewood Suites (Int. Drive/Convention Centre). They do have a free shuttle to Disney/Universal (not sure about Sea World). We used the shuttle to get to Universal, with no problems.

The breakfast was lovely. There’s a good range of cereals, fruit, pastries, waffles, juice and the hot selection was good.
When we were there they also did welcome home Buffett in the early evenings. It was a hot/cold buffet with beer/wine, tea, coffee and soft drinks (all free).

We usually stay at Rosen @ Pointe which is fine for us - basic but clean and close to restaurants. However, the year we went with the girls we stayed at Sonesta Es Suites and they were lovely. Clean, modern apartments with free shuttles although we didn’t use them. Buffet type breakfast included which set us up for the day.
Lots of restaurants around as close to the Orlando eye. |
