If you check out YouTube videos of Stars On Parade it is approximately 14 minutes in length if it was passing you.

what are peoples thoughts on the new parade?

i think some of the floats are too high and you can miss some of the characters.

not overkeen on the music - i find it fragmented.

Not really looked yet that hard or heard the music as I prefer to see when I get there. However, I've read plenty people say they don't like it as much as some previous parades and precisely what you say about the music - too fragmented and not catchy at all.

We'll be stuck with it for years so we best get used to it 😂.

I see they are now selling the soundtrack CD.

Leaving an hour before, would that give enough time to get a Fantasyland spot?
I read somewhere that outside City Hall was quite a good spot and this is near the park entrance.

coming from outside the park to get there for parade time, you'd be better staying around City Hall/bandstand/parade route exit - the reason I'm saying this is that there will already be people there staking out their spots for the parade at that time, so it will be busy with people all the way up the route (which you may not be allowed to walk in depending on what time you get there, CM's patrol the route and shoo people off it).
