Hot food at breakfast now it's changed?
Just a quick question, can anyone please confirm a rumour I heard. I was told that now the on site breakfasts are now no longer free with your room, the breakfasts are now better. Do they now provide hot food breakfasts instead of continental breakfasts as standard now you pay for the privilege?
Many thanks. |

I think Cheyenne and Santa Fe are still cold continental breakfasts, but the other hotels have hot food. I guess that's part of why their breakfast prices are cheaper than the other hotels.
It is something they should look at - obviously guests have always paid for their breakfasts (as part of the room price) but now that there are separate charges for the room and breakfast, people know exactly how much they are spending on breakfast, and it's natural that guests are going to expect more. Before, the cost of breakfast was hidden within the total room price, so I guess people just appreciated whatever they got and weren't so concerned with getting value for money. I wonder if DLP thought that bit through! |

Newport Bay, New York and DLH always had hot options. Sequoia Lodge had them for an extra charge. So I think now they are included as standard if you pay for breakfast or for a half board or full board package.
I believe Santa Fe and Cheyenne are still cold only, though I did read they were supposed to have inproved the quality and choice (not sure if this is true). No way will I be paying the silly prices they want for breakfast!

As I pointed out on another thread, breakfast has never been included at WDW standard rooms unless you were on the free dining plan. They are merely bringing DLP into line with other parks.
