Paris day trip and must do's

Hiya

We are planning on going to Paris for just one day of our trip (the Wednesday when I've read the parks are busier) and I wondered if there are any must do's or tips anyone can give me to make the most of it...

We are planning an open top bus tour (rubbish with directions so hoping this helps us navigate) and want to go up the Eiffel Tower but not booked anything yet.

Any tips? x

I'm also interested in this, we go for a week but plan to spend 4 days in the parks with 2 or 3 days in Paris. We don't know much about what to do yet and we go on 24th June

Not sure what the current "must-dos" are but when we went for a weekend a looongg time ago we went on a boat trip down the Seine, walked through Montmartre to the Sacre Coeur (and went in) and visited L'Arc de Triomphe.

All fairly normal touristy things to do but I enjoyed all of them. Went to the Eiffel Tower but didn't go up as the queues were massive and life's too short.
