Florida Road Trip ... Autism, Universal, beaches, Keys, Miami ... finally!

We are Vicki, Mark, Gem (20), Jack (10 with autism/adhd). This is our 9th Florida trip and very long awaited after we had to cancel last August, on the day before travel due to Mark catching sepsis and then spending 3 months in hospital at deaths door. So now he's fit and well and we have much to be thankful for ... and we finally get to enjoy our Florida road trip.

Easter flights to Orlando were coming up pricy so we booked Heathrow via Dublin to Miami for £300 each on Friday 5th April. Pre-clearance in Dublin tempted me too as Jack has autism/adhd and queuing in USA immigration is my least favourite part of our Florida hols and we fancied a driving trip around Florida as we have only stayed in Orlando previously.

Our road trip plan:
1 night Miami airport (we arrive late)
1 night cocoa Beach and NASA next day
4 nights Orlando villa using our Universal annual pass
3 nights Fort Myers Beach villa
3 nights Florida Keys condo
2 nights Miami Beach

As we have also booked Oct 19 and Feb 20 for Orlando, so we won't be splashing the cash too much, plus I love a bargain so I'll be looking for cheap ways to eat and shop without breaking the bank. Our spending budget is roughly £2,000.
