We flew BA fr the first time last year and was impressed by the food (as much as you can be for airline food) and had a decent currry on the wy out.

Daughter will be getting sanwiches as she is picky, will get the North Easts finest from Greggs in NCL before heading to London and on to Miami

I’d suggest getting them something to take onboard.
I tend to eat the veggie option. It’s usually the lesser of the evils but if I was worried about a child not eating I’d just buy something at the airport.
DS will take something. He’ll eat anything tbh but he’s just always hungry!

IMO the kids meals look even worse than the standard stuff but I’ve never tried one.
A reheated nugget is going to be pretty rough surely?

We flew in May the choices were chicken and mash or tomato pesto pasta. I got the pasta which was actually ok.

Then we got a mini magnum and about 1h30 min before landing a smoked salmon sandwich. I gave this to the man next to me.

Didn’t get kids meals as I didn’t realise I had to specify them.

We got boots meal deals and had them, as did the kids.

On the way home it was the same chicken and mash or creamy pesto pasta. Both pretty awful.
Kids meal was chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. Again awful.
Breakfast was a cream cheese and tomato (I kid you not) croissant. And a strawberry cereal bar. Handed that little lot back as did 90% of the plane.
Kids breakfast was in a special little box but was exactly the same as the adults.

We aren’t fussy at all but my advice, same as above Boots meal deal and snacks for the way out. Decent meal before the flight on the way back and then breakfast when you land.

We flew in April and May on BA from Heathrow to Rome. We had to pay for any food, but it was reasonably priced and good. The only problem on both flights was that they ran out of things. They did have a couple of veggie options but were always out of one.

Thanks all, this has just confirmed that they will not eat any of the options! Meal deal for the plane it is for them.

I get horribly plane sick and just can't face the hot plane food, so what I've done the last few times is take the tray but not the hot dish- it means I can pick around the cold stuff like the rolls and things without facing the dreaded hot food!
