Paris via easyjet

So after always going via eurostar it's about time I stopped paying over the odds and look at alternatives.

So at a third of the cost easyjet came in tops.

I have just gone to book the tickets and have noticed they never asked me for passport numbers.

I logged into my account which had details that were years old, address etc which i changed but it never asked me for passport numbers etc.

Do they not ask anymore for passport numbers...?

they do it when you check in (either online or at the airport).

lol if you live close to Eurostar why wouldn't you?

I have to travel to either Luton for Easyet, or Ebbsfleet for the Eurostar, so it just depends on how early I get organised, as to which method of travel I take, I know I can always depend on Easyjet though.

I actually live in Norfolk, the kids however are on the isle of wight. From there everywhere is about the same journey time although Gatwick for flights and Ashford for eurostar were available on my dates.

However after working out TGV times etc and cost, even though eurostar was more expensive it's just easy and more familiar for me to stay at Eureka Park the night before, and have a meal etc and a few drinks. I think I can also leave my car in the car park which saves paying at the Eurostar Terminal too.

What is Ebbsfleet like.? I looked at going from there once but I don't think there is much to do the night before...

i don't do anything the night before - I travel to arrive at my overnight hotel at around 8pm, get checked in (we've usually already stopped for dinner en route) get settled, showers, PJs on, watch some TV with some snacks we've brought with us, and then lights out (not that we get much sleep, toooo excited).

However, the Premier Inn at Gravesend is at the edge of town, adjoining a pub, its 5 minutes drive into the town itself, and then another 10 minutes takes you to Ebbsfleet station.
