Have you tried some Calomine Lotion dabbed on the itchy parts. It helped my Bull Terrier when she was very itchy. xx

apoquel and medrone and piriton

Hi there, I have a very itchy mastiff/german shepherd who has many issues. She scratched herself so bad on Wednesday she made herself bleed. I contacted our vet and he said she could have apoquel 16mg, 2 medrone 4mg and a piriton if needed. so today, she has been scratching more and she has had all 3 and she is absolutely fine.
Hope this helps.

One thing to watch out for with apoquel is lumps ... our boy has been on apoquel for 2 years now and has a couple on his side. He is a different dog on it though ... no itching, biting, scratching, much more comfortable. The vet says so long as he's a happy dog he doesn't want to get rid of what he sees as a cosmetic issue as our westie is not great with anaesthetic.
