Do you declare everything? Do you do this in immigration? Do you have to pick up a form?
Is it a straight forward process?

Apart from obviously illegal stuff like drugs it's only really foodstuffs that you need to be careful about. Meat, fish, dairy, fruit & veg are basically not allowed but this web site is fairly clear.

We've not had a customs form given to us in the last three trips but the Immigration Officer may well ask if you have food. If you have anything on the list simply say yes.

We had our first Villa stay this year.

To be honest we didn't take anything different really than what we take for Disney. So the usual washing powder, nice coffee, a few packs of biscuits and that was about it.

We have always been lucky with villas and a lot of them have everything you could need but there is never enough bin bags or dishwasher tablets. The villa we stay in has a bottle of washing liquid which is always enough for us, I think I remember there being washing up liquid too? I am sure Steve will be able to confirm that for me

If you are trying to watch the pennies I would take biscuits, tea, coffee and cereal. The food bits in Orlando soon add up

We always take tea bags, dishwasher tablets, washing tablets and tumble dryer sheets, a dish cloth/sponge, bleach tablets for the loos, black sacks for the kitchen bin.
We also do a big shop after we have dumped the cases in the villa. At least 10 days worth. Then we go to the liquor store to buy spirits and set up a bar in the kitchen. Lovely to swim then sit on the deck having a drink after a busy park day.

We take dettol wipes so we can keep everything clean, dishwasher tablets, washing tablets & softner, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, sponges, nice coffee.
I am sensitive to smells so I can’t risk using a brand I do not know or it may set off a migraine, my son has sensitive skin so can’t risk using a different washing powder & conditioner plus the smell issue. My husband is OCD with everything being clean so dettol wipes are a must. We like a pod cup of coffee in the morning plus we don’t want to waste time in the supermarket looking for boring household items! We would rather be down the treat isle lol lol

After holidaying in Florida villas every year for the past 11 years I have fine tuned my list of non-food household items I pack to take with us. Any space taken up by them is used to bring shopping back home. As other posters have said, with the likes of home bargains etc.. over here I pick most items up cheap before I go. My list includes:
Laundry
Colour catchers
washing liquid tablets
stain remover
pegs
Household
Dishwasher tablets (enough for 1 per day plus a few extra)
washing up brush
dish cloths
bin bags
tin foil (for wrapping sandwiches etc.. to take parks, beach etc)
sharpie pen (for labelling tin foil wrapped sandwiches etc)
sandwich bags (for decanting larger bags crisps, snacks into smaller portions)
bag clips (for sealing big bags of crisps etc in cupboards)
anti-bac wipes
kitchen rolls (the big jumbo ones from home bargains etc)
I also tend to take the following food items:
salt & pepper
4 oxo cubes & some Italian herbs as I also make a spaghetti Bol one night and eat in the villa
brown sauce (DH insists on this for his cooked breakfasts in the villa)
teabags
sweetners
squash (couple double strength ones to make drinks up to take out, cuts down on the amount of fizzy drinks drunk by DS's, they don't like the small squirty squashes)
few packets biscuits (can't beat a custard cream or digestive with a cuppa sat by the pool watching the sun rise whilst everyone else still in bed)
6 tins beans (towards the end of the holiday when we're all fooded out, you can't beat beans on toast for tea by the pool)

It sound quite a lot but there are 10 of us staying in the villa (6A & 4C) so it all gets divvied up between everyones cases and does save quite a bit of money
