Funny you should say that, today I dodged the bird crap on my patio (newly power washed), the bird feeders are in the flower next to it. And pulled out some weird looking grasses in the bed. I assume it was from the bird seed and fat balls dropped on the soil! I try to help nature, but it comes at a cost.

I genuinely didn't know that.

I thought it was to protect 2 year old toddlers from opening the box and eating not knowing any better.

What you've described though is 15 year olds with the intelligence of 2 year olds.

I have some massive slugs in my compost bins! Orange ones! They are doing a job in there, and keeping off my hostas!
Out of 5 hostas I have 1 left! It seems they viewed my hostas a bit like a buffet at Disney. we don't need to eat anymore but it would be rude not to!

It’s called natural selection, stupid people die early and don’t get to breed! Darwin was right all along!

You really need to watch out for those fat balls.

My hostas are in pots and still got eaten last year! I was so vigilant with them, but not enough it seems!
I used to keep two chickens for eggs, they are so efficient at clearing the ground of any pests. They would play tug with an earthworm! (That’s not a euphemism either)!

I have some great slug traps, bait the, with beer, slugs love it and crawl in and can’t crawl out. Every few days I empty inebriated slugs into the compost bin. Works well, no pellets for dog to eat!

Slug pubs work well, cheap supermarket lager is fine, don’t use Dh’s CAMRA approved ales, it upsets him!
For ant problems, use sugar instead of beer. I found this out when I was out of beer for the slug pubs and got hundreds of dead ants in the sugar solution!
