Upgrading dining plan during holiday?

So I thought I could answer almost any question about Disney that anyone could ask me, until today! A friend of mine has asked me to work her out a price as she is trying to figure out if she can afford to stay onsite. I was explaining the dining plans to her and that she can upgrade a dining plan if she wanted to, as they are looking at staying at a moderate resort. Then she asked that, if part way through their holiday they wanted to, is it possible to upgrade the remaining days of dining? I have no idea and I've had a quick look on Disney's site and can't see an answer but I know a dibber will have the answer

My understanding is no. You have to have the same for the whole time, you can�t change or add the plan whilst you are there - not even at check in - must be done days before.

I�d say no also , but you never know you might get someone kind who would do it .

no dining plans have to be agreed 3 days prior to your trip.

It's a no.

As others have said it must be upgraded a few days prior to arrival.
