We are here now. I can confirm that a driving licence and a photo of your passport on your phone is all you need. My DD is 22 and looks about 15 so is always checked.

Simon. I'm all upset and need your sage advice. I have been coming here since 1976 and am now 63.
Why have I never been asked for ID? Is it because of my suave sopisticated looks? Or is it that I have always looked a decrepit old wreck. Answer on a postcard please.

To the 25 year old looking younger than the 21 year old - enjoy this forever! I'm 32 and love the fact I still don't look my age. When it catches up with me, I'll be devastated
Best going with official advice, my licence was accepted in Moe's Tavern however the guy was a bit hesitant at first, I offered to go collect my passport and he said it was fine (maybe because I offered?). My cousin had her licence accepted all around world showcase until she got to Mexico and they were passport only. It's a hard one, isn't it? Not bad if you're at Disney and try out the licence + pic and they accept it (but you don't really care if they don't?) then you go for a night out with the same ID and they insist on passport. |

Can't they just "add" this information to your magic band/ticket, so you just have to scan your band when ordering and it automatically shows as being over 21, or give you a separate id showing this. I'm uncomfortable walking around with my passport just to get an alcoholic drink, and would rather not bother if I'm honest.

Unless the separate id included a photo this would be way too easy to swap between underage visitors and as the penalties for selling alcohol to a minor are so steep why would they risk it for UK visitors. I have a picture of my passport on my phone and my driving licence but I wouldn't have a problem with carrying my passport.
