Mobile Duty free UK outbound or US return

Hi there looking to purchase a bottle of vodka for a family member and some aftershave
Am I best/cheapest doing it at this side on our way out or on return in Orlando airport? Thanks

I found last time it was cheaper buying anything in the uk than coming back and getting in the USA. Mco was very expensive.
Tesco was better value!

I ordered mine through the thomas cook duty free website and had it given to me on the way home and that was as cheap as getting it on the way out at duty free and a lot less hassle

We prefer the Duty Free shop at Manchester BUT if you buy it prior to the Outbound flight and it’s over 100ml you will have to pack it in your suitcase for the Inbound flight and risk it being broken or stolen. For that reason with alcohol we prefer to pre-order and have it delivered to our seat on the plane coming home. With perfume we’d buy at Manchester and make sure it’s 100ml or less so we can pop it into our clear bags and have it in our hand luggage. We don’t find onboard perfume prices to be better than what we could get at home or we’d buy it on the plane.

I rarely find duty free that much cheaper than the high street so shop around before you commit to buying at the airport

Duty free sometimes sell duty free items only, I collected jack daniels and I know certain bottles of that are only available in duty free, same with absolute vodka. But if you are just after a standard bottle go tesco.

Last time we sent US I got a bottle of gas monkey tequila. Again, something not available at Tesco.

Just got back...go to Tescos!
Duty free prices are more expensive than in the shops over here!

For spirits definitely buy in Florida but not in duty free. Buy it from a Liquer store or Walmart etc... You can get a 1.75l bottle of smirnoff vodka for less than $18.
