ESTA & Flight - dropping 1 person from group
Hi
As per the title, does it cause a lot of aggro dropping one person from your group with regards to ESTA and flying with Virgin? Thanks |

The only reason that you do a group application is to make one single payment at the end. Every ESTA in that group is individual to each passport.
You can do a group of between 2 and 50 and anyone in the group can travel with anyone (or nobody) Mick

Ok thanks.
What about having one less in the party when arriving at the airport? Does that cause an issue? |

Absolutely no problems at all. An ESTA is only approval to travel to the USA and when they swipe your P/P at the UK departure airport it will show that you have a valid ESTA (or not )
It's totally irrelevant how may other people you did ESTAs for when you did a group application. An ESTA does not permit you entry into the USA. That's for the Immigration Officer to decide. Mick

Unless the OP is asking - should you inform Virgin if someone drops out?

yiu should notify virgin as you may get the airport taxes back (unless they charge amendment fees)
If one member of your group doesn't check in for their outbound, their seat will be cancelled for the whole itinerary, and the airline will sit someone else in that seat. there will be no issue at immigration, because even if you're on the same booking, you have no obligation to go through immigration together (separate families, or friends, may be booked together or as a group, but required to go through immigration separately) but in any case you should notify the airline |
