Singapore, cruise and Bali. Day 4, st George's, Penang.
We had a lovely nights sleep, bed was really comfy and didn't even feel like we were sailing throughout the night. Breakfast at the windjammer, such a choice, you really could eat whatever you wanted. I had fresh fruit and french toast, this was my regular, go to breakfast throughout the cruise. After a slow start we headed up to deck 12 to sunbathe and watch our arrival in penang. We docked at the port so we just walked off the ship. We didnt have anything planned so we're going to just walk arou d for a while. We had to run the gammet of hundreds of taxi drivers all wanting your custom, it was quite scary as they were very Insistant. St georges in penang was very hot and humid, we found little india but werent very impressed, it was very narrow, smelly and dirty there. We walked some more along a wider road and just stumbled upon a stunning temple. It was totally empty so spent ages just soaking in the atmosphere and raking some very Instagram worthy photos, both dd and ds are instagrammers!
By now we were so hot, we walked towards another temple, but this was really busy so didn't go in. We then found st George's church, however it was all locked up so we then found a lovely air conditioned Starbucks and it was frappacinos all round. We ambled slowly back to the port, stopping at a shop to stock up on drinks to take back to put in our fridge. Once back on board, we showered and changed for dinner. We went to the theatre again at 9.30, the headline act was a magician from Australia who was very funny. Char and I then went to bed, whilst Dh and ds went for a couple of pints in the pig and whistle. Edited at 05:53 PM. |

Great!
We had Windjammer on our ship too, there is an amazing selection of just about anything for any meal isn't there! Nice photos, the temple looks lovely, but it looks HOT!
