Full face snorkel masks at Discovery Cove

Hi

Has anyone been recently and seen people using the full face snorkel masks in the Grand Reef please?

I know they have allowed them in the past but wondering if still OK to take your own and use instead of their snorkel.

(I hate normal snorkels, they make me gag! So I can never see the fish properly)

Thanks!

Where is a good place to buy these? Thinking my boys might prefer these but don't want to pay too much money for the sake of one use.

In case you can't use them, I've found that biting lightly on the snorkel helps with gagging.

The recommendation is you buy a quality brand and not a cheap one. Look for ones that have a separate mouth and nose area.

The seal around the face is the most important as any leaks can possibly affect not just the eyes but also the nose and mouth.

There have been incidents of carbon dioxide build up within the full face masks and sadly some deaths so understanding the symptoms of carbon dioxide poisoning is a must.

We looked into this for Ds1 who isn't a confident with snorkelling but amazingly did really well with Discovery Cove masks so we are going again.

Yes, I'd read that too, and the importance of buying branded and the certain features which are important.
