We have been in August for the last 3 years! Its all about the planning! Get to the parks early, rest/shop or eat in the afternoon, grab a poncho (its really not coat weather out there!) & head out for an evening of fun all over again! Don't let a heavy downpour or Thunderstorm ruin your holiday, so many things you can do. We had the best time of our lives coming out of Universal 3 years ago in heavy torrential rain, wading in water as it was coming down so quick, trying to grab our flip flops that kept coming off our feet & floating away. (we still laugh about this memory regularly!) We're British, Keep Calm & Carry On...

Here at the moment. We arrived 16th and up.until this weekend has no storms or rain. Had first heavy rain on Sat afternoon and but of a storm ( not.like we are used to hear) & due to hurricane in Texas it's been cloudy and a few showers but has not stopped us doing anything. Not even brought ponchos just dodged showers. In fact the cooler temps ( still in 80's) has been such a relief as it has been mega hot and humid. Don't worry. All good here.

We arrived Saturday and went to Animal Kingdom yesterday, it rained for a couple of hours and as we hadn't really prepared we left to go for some breakfast. It cleared up and we thought about going back to the park but it started pouring again. We got some ponchos last night so all prepared now.

Exactly! We had the same thing coming out of Animal Kingdom. Running for the car from the tram, taking off flip flops and running in bare feet. Drowned rats and so funny! We always refer to really bad rain as 'Animal Kingdom rain' now!

You booked your holiday in hurricane season. You may have seen the one in Texas at the moment.

Time to cross your fingers.

Late August and September is the best time to see tropical weather in Florida. More to come...
