That tent reminds me of the TV show Mash.
I was being sarcastic about the doctoring of the banner as Disney are saying that they never publicised OPR opening in the summer

Except Disney did clearly advertise that OPR would be opening in late Summer. It said so on their website:

web.archive/web/20180108...-beach-resort/

However, I notice that Disney has recently sneakily altered that blog article and changed where it says "late this summer" to say "in Fall 2018" instead. Going back and altering an article that was originally posted in December is a bit underhanded!

Thankfully, webpages do get independently archived.

Yes, that was my point. Disney are denying that they ever said it when people call to challenge, have edited all their posts saying it and also changed the banner that's up at CBR now. It's like the Summer 2018 date never exisited! Hence the 'wink' on my original post.

To be fair, my comment probably only made sense to the people on the other HUGE CBR building works and I got the 2 muddled up with them being about the same thing

Ah yes, I get what you mean.

I wouldn't put it past Disney to respond saying that the Internet Archive website had been hacked and the archived versions altered by various sites spreading misinformation.

I mean, it's not like there are many, many, many, many, many, many, many websites out there - including official news websites - that have repeated Disney's original statement of a "late Summer 2018" opening date for OPR.

Will never stay there again, looking forward to cbr this year as nothing can be as bad as last year

We booked Coronado springs for Aug 17 in Oct 16 in Jan 17 we got an email saying that there would be refurbishment and we did not want t9 stay there. Getting moved was a nightmare we had booked through Orlando Attractions who were fantastic but if we moved Disney wanted to charge us more for a similar resort as prices had gone up and would not confirm if we could keep our dining plan. I got in touch with CEO office they would no5 helpmsaying we would not be effected. In the end after lodgingbtwo complaints one with ABTA an done with American Express we managed to get a move to POFQ its cost £200 more and OA very kindly picked up half the cost.

This totally ruined the planning of our holiday whxih we love. Disney offered to refund us and whilst this is ok for US guests whine we had booked flights and booked early to get DDP. Americans tend to go for a shorter period of time and spend else time in their room or round the pool in the day tha; us.

it was not right the whole way that Disney treated us and other customers showed utter contempt and like many others we have no trust in them.

My argument was that when we booked there was no mention of construction if there had have been and we had booked then fair enough we would not ave booked knowing this.

I guess they know that they have a huge market losing a few people no problem.
