One down side of Apple products is that you cannot retro fit memory, so if you ever found yourself short you'll be looking at changing again. Given that you'd expect it to last at least 4+ years, I think the extra memory could be something you might regret not taking in the future.

100 % agree ... if anything the grandkids will thank you when that one gets passed on ! Can't have enough storage

You can get an extra 64GB for £40. Or an extra 128GB for £70.

They also have their benefits as they allow you to share that storage with other iPads. So, for example, when you pass on the iPad to someone else you can keep the extra memory for the next iPad.

But, yeah, it does mean you have a pen drive stuck out of the bottom of the iPad. And they are limited as to what you can store on them.
