I was there last September (before making an earlier than planned flight home to avoid Irma). We did not do any Disney parks, but all the other parks were notably quiet - staff we spoke to said September is one of the quietest months.
We did go to Disney Springs a couple of times & have never seen it as quiet as it was. |

We have been once in August. The other two holidays have been in September because it is MUCH quieter and cheaper, to boot! Don't get me wrong, you're not going to be sautering down Main Street in MK with 100 other folk there, it's still busy, there's still queues but we found it much more manageable in September. And at Universal, we practically walked on to a lot of the rides- like a 10 minute wait for the disappointment tht is Kong rather than 80 minute or suchlike.

I'm liking all these comments - I'm going September 13th this year and September 16th next year

I think early September has traditionally been quieter than late September however with both Food & Wine and the Halloween stuff starting earlier I think that’s probably less noticeable now.
Generally we find in September crowds are manageable and weather is hot but wet. It’s our preferred time of year. |

it can be alot quiter but dont assume everything will be a walk on. Go on the wrong day and queues can be heaving and the parks rammed. Rock the universe and Halloween events dont help. Water parks have been dead tho. But the odd time we have been shocked at how busy the park was. Other days they have been dead. Busch and seaworld and brilliantly quiet

We always go in Sept! It is quieter, cheaper to get there and weather is (normally!) fab!
Can be quite humid though so keep that in mind! |

We loved September (aside from Hurricane Irma making an appearance). The weather was lovely the rest of the time and crowds manageable.

We like September, but hurricanes have been a worry, incl. last year.
We also suffer rainy days and washed out events. We didn't see the MK fireworks due to rain end of last year. |
