Oh no really... that sounded ideal! I love Florida but you have to drive everywhere and sometimes it’s nice to go to cheaper eats too. If they r close it wouldn’t be much to Uber! We don’t really drink but sometimes it’s nice to have a glass with your food and to walk bk would have been ideal.
What restaurants are they do you know?
How did you know when the contract was right? As I’m not going to be rushing it but also don’t want to be waiting for something that isn’t going to happen

I'd choose BWV purely for the location, although much prefer the laid back feel at BCV with the same location. I'm not a fan of SSR for feel or location, only the THVs interest me there. BWV is harder to get at 7 months, whereas SSR always seems to have availability.

I don't think you truly get a feel of a resort until you've stayed there, we've visited them all and then stayed at some and it definitely changes your opinion. My opinions have also changed over the years as the resorts mature, for example we used to love OKW when I first stayed there (2005) it felt like a real 'find', very few Brits, really laid back, quiet resort, the last time we stayed there years later, with many UK companies selling it with free DDP it felt like Butlins and we've never been back!

I can only reiterate the advice that's always given - 'buy where you want to stay', but also agree that the shorter contracts have to be a deciding factor if you think it'll affect you. We own at BCV which was never extended so 'only' have 24 years left, but this doesn't worry me at all, if anything after 16 years of ownership, I regularly consider selling.

There are lots of restaurants really crossroads. Denny’s isn’t far. Olive Garden iHop. So even if crossroads went you could still uber to places close by.

The 1 beds at SSR are the same as at Wilderness Lodge. Boardwalk and Beach Club. I think they used the same plans as they are virtually identical.

They are all smaller than OKW which was the first resort and has the largest rooms by some margin.

Tweety looking at the plans, it looks like everything in the Crossroads triangle - Perkins,Goodings,TGi's & up to & including the Knife. Everything to the left of this, including Dennys, looks to be ok.

Where can I see this information as what’s the crossroads triangle? Is this the new rd and there getting rid of some of the restaurants?

It’s the first time I’ve heard OKW as being described like Butlins. Having stayed there multiple times, and in the distant past have stayed at Butlins, I’d struggle to assimilate the two as being anything alike whatsoever. Maybe there’s a 4-5 Star Butlins somewhere I’ve missed.

There is a map on this article. Looks like the whole thing is being levelled for a new exit off the motorway

Packed pool, cheesy pool games with guards on microphones. Nothing remote or relaxing about it, put me in mind of a holiday camp.

The pool has plenty of activities going on - just like BWV clown pool?

There's 3 very nice quiet pools at OKW.
