Anyone booked through Net flights recently ? - UPDATE
I have been looking at flights for February and have come across a good price for direct Virgin flights to New York. It is a lot cheaper than direct with Virgin and states one checked bag per person. Is that right and it includes hold luggage ? Doesn’t mention light/ classic etc just days economy. I will call them but need to wait until son and daughter have gone out as it is to be a surprise for sons birthday !
I normally book direct but the price seems good. Thanks all ! Edited at 11:35 AM. |

We booked our flights with Netflights a few weeks ago, although ours are with BA not Virgin. BA have a new system as well though, similar to Virgin where the basic flight doesn't include luggage.
Through Netflights, we have a 23kg bag included with our BA flights at the original advertised price, nothing was added on as I progressed through the booking. Hope that helps.

Thank you. That’s interesting because the BA flight is showing on the search page as hand luggage only.
The Virgin flight is £297 for February half term ( I am still worried about the weather ! )Do you think this sounds about right ? I could save £30 each by changing at Heathrow on return. Thanks. Lynda Edited at 01:00 PM. |

Ooh I've no idea about February, never been then. Sounds like a great price though, I would go for it. The extra saving of £30 sounds good too, although not sure if it's worth the hassle if you already have a direct flight for that price.
We have all of our confirmations, and our flights are showing on the BA app with all the correct luggage allowances.

Thank you. I think if it was cold and snowing in New York I wouldn’t mind too much. After the awful weather we had this last winter it is actually the airport closing here that is worrying me more !
It is sons birthday during half term and it does work out so much cheaper than Easter ! |

Where are you finding that price for February? We are looking for then and can only find mega prices.
Sorry, just realised you said New York.

Weather in Feb in NYC is bitter cold ( The wind really rattles round those skyscrapers!) and there is a chance of disruption due to snow, that being said I have been 4 times in Feb and always had a great time.
If netflights say a bag is included take a screen shot just in case, though I am sure it is right. I have found a few flights with them inc a bag that is a lot cheaper than Virgin without a bag SFO NYC and LAS, all for early next year.
