New Hampshire - No Sales tax
Hi all,
We are visiting New England in the summer, and my son wants to go to Best Buy to get something for his PC. Has anyone been to Best Buy in New Hampshire? DH is telling him to wait until we get there, rather than shopping in another state, as hopefully it will be cheaper due to the lack of sales tax, but I was just wondering whether that will be the case, or if they just inflate the prices instead and it’s in effect no cheaper? (I assume he’s right and they can’t do that, but equally I want to manage my sons expectations of getting a bargain! Lol!) |

My family live right on the maine /new Hampshire border and they drive about 30 mins to shop over there as it's cheaper. I'm going over to see them in 2 weeks time and will probably be popping over for some bits and bobs. Where is best buy ? If you tell me what it is he wants and I'm near there I can pop in and price it up. Can't promise but I'll try

That’s brilliant! Thank you ever so much. I think he’s after a Razer keyboard, but I’m not totally sure.
I haven’t looked properly at the locations of the Best Buy at the moment - we are staying in Jackson and I noticed there was one at a mall in Manchester, and a few others elsewhere, but I haven’t looked to see where they are in relation to where we are staying. We will be driving to New Hampshire from Stowe in Vermont, and then are going on to Ogunquit, Maine from Jackson. We will then be driving through NH again on our way to Boston, so if it’s easier to visit any of the Best Buys on our travel days than whilst we have a base in Jackson, we can always do that too. Thank you ever so much for your kind offer - I really appreciate it xx |

We were there last October and didn't find inflated prices, but did enjoy 0% tax in NH 😀

Go to bestbuy.com, set your store as the one you plan to visit and you'll be able to see live stock and exact pricing.
