Help and inspiration needed please

So we have time booked off work and no holidays booked in... and we are struggling

So - there are two of us...we dont do sitting on a beach, we like exploring

We love cruises - except they are a little too expensive for the short time we have before we go - 2nd week of september - unless anyone has any ways to get a cheap deal?

Love Disney but went last August/September with the family so waiting for new rides/lands to be open before we go again

Any ideas at all please - preferably overseas

Why not somewhere like Rome for the weekend? Its beautiful.
Or my home country Norway has some of the most beautiful sites if you like to explore
