Making the most of Epcot without FP
Will a day at Epcot in Epcot without FP's still be enjoyable and not just one long day of queuing? We are going to HS in the evening for a dessert party so thinking FP would be better used there in order to get on all the toy story attractions during our stay. We do have other Epcot days planned where we can use FP's

You could spend a number of hours wandering through the World Showcase. Plenty to see and do there, from Acrobats in China, various bands, O' Canada, Reflections of China. Kids, if any, could do the Agent P adventure which most enjoy.
Some of the rides likely won't be too bad, Spaceship Earth, Living on the land for example. Again kids would enjoy Turtle talk with crush, generally no q, and the aquarium. Don't think you'd have a problem tbh.

Only problem you will have is Soarin / Frozen / Test Track. They will be busy. Most other rides don't generate queues that are that bad.
Plus as the poster above has said, most of the fun at Epcot is wandering round World Showcase. If you are going to Epcot for opening, you should be able to do the 'Big 3' rides then. We are doing the same thing - Epcot in a morning and used our Fastpasses for another park as seems a waste using all 3 at Epcot when the busy 3 rides are all in the same Tier |

Last time we went (2015) we used Fast Passes at Epcot for Soarin, Test Track, Spaceship Earth and Mission Space (Green). We didn't really need them for the last two, I just felt compelled to use them!
We've queued for Soarin a few times in the past, it can get pretty long but at least it is indoors in air conditioning rather than outside in the heat. I'd suggest heading straight for it when you get in, but might also be worth saving for later in the day if people are flagging in the sun! Lots of other things to do. The World Showcase is a firm favourite with my family!

Epcot has plenty to do that doesn't involve queuing for rides, one of the best parks for that actually!

Like others above - I can happily wander around Epcot for a whole day without going on a single ride. There’s so much to see and do and eat there!
If you do have to go on rides, some rides like Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth are great rides that usually don’t have a long queue...

If you book a pre park opening garden grill breakfast you can be done by 8.40 and first in line for Soarin. Then head straight to frozen for rope drop, and single rider line for test track. This way you can do all 3 with no wait and no FP.

Keep in mind that WS doesn't open until 11am so if Future World stuff doesn't interest you (or you have them FPed on your other Epcot days) - have a pool morning or just a long lie in! Turn up for lunch then spend a few hours wandering around, before heading over to HS for the evening.
If (like me) you're not one for down time on holidays, I'd head off-site for the morning instead. Few hours shopping then pop into Epcot. Edited at 01:44 PM. |
