Looking at how few seats are prereserved on our LGW FLL I am very aware that it's more vulnerable to cancellation than the LGW MCO flight. If the Orlando flight goes tech it'd make far more sense to switch the FLL plane to Orlando than have a full planeload of passengers needing reaccomadating and a light flight going out from a relatively close airport.

Thanks everyone we certainly enjoyed the villa pool for an extra day 😀 just think we were lucky finding out about the delay just before we left the villa, we could have spent the day at the airport instead.
I have put in a claim with BA but am not holding my breath as I suspect they will claim the lightning strike was extraordinary circumstances and not eligible. Sally |

A quick Google search shows that poor weather affecting a previous flight causing your aircraft to be delayed (or cancelled) is not extraordinary circumstances, neither is a technical fault. If they fob you off keep pushing, failing that there are companies that will process your claim for you ( for a fee - no win, no fee)

Aylesbury is situated just off US27, a couple of minutes drive from junction 55 of the I4 which will take you to Disney in approx 15/20 minutes (approx 15 miles), Universal Studios in approx 35 minutes and Busch Gardens in 60 minutes . It is a quiet sub division with lots of restaurants close by, Publix and Walmart are within a 5-10 minute drive. The shopping development, Posner Park, is less than a mile away offering, JC Pennys, Target, Best Buy, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ross’s, Michaels, Dollar Tree, restaurants and a Cinema .
Enjoy your holiday. Jan |
