Best location at SSR standard?
Hi
Had to change plans so off in 3 days, quickly booked a week at SSR in a 2 bed standard villa.Never been to SSR before, apart from the tour so any suggestions for location appreciated!.my children love the pool, and would like to be close to refill mug point and Disney springs if possible. Thanks |

Nadya. Me again. Glad you got the car sorted.
OK. We stay at Congress Park but that is preferred so more points as you know. Small pool, no drinks, bar or food. Very quiet there hence it suits us. If you weren't driving I would always say The Grandstand as that will suit children, has the drinks machine, nice pool, good for buses etc. But lets ditch that as you have a car. In my view The Paddock all day long. Lovely pool with zero entry, pool bar (not busy) food place, drinks machine, pool activities, closer to Disney Springs by a long way. Whatever you do don't accept The Carousel. Back of beyond, long walk to Disney Springs and no pool. If you go on here you can see where I mean. touringplans/hotel_maps/...Bview%5D=a ny 'Hover' over the buildings and I would go for building 10 or 11.

Thanks very much Tom,we are leaning towards the paddock area, hoping it may be a little quieter, but probably a vain hope at this time of year!.will take a look at the map, seems huge!,we love Okw but no availability at such short notice unsurprisingly.

Grandstand- first bus stop IF you intend to use the buses for going to parks.

Paddock building 12 will get you closer to Disney Springs, it's right across from the CP bus stop but it does put you further away from the drinks station- CP pool is close unless you don't want a quiet pool.

Ahh, the ground floor. I like that building as it's the nearest to Disney Springs.
Well done, enjoy your holiday.

I have to say we like the springs as we prefer the high rock pool and its close to the food courts and the boat to disney springs. bus stop right outside and it never bothered us that it wasn't the first stop.
Have to say I do love Saratoga Springs |

For your 'wants' The Springs is excellent. I'm still somewhat surprised it's a preferred area though. I thought the Paddocks would be.

Glad to read the positives of the Paddock
If our Son and family come next year we are going to have go with a non preferred area, for the same resort I can get them a studio for the 2 weeks over and above our 3 week 2 bedroom in a non preferred over just us for 3 weeks in a preferred we like the quiet pool hence congress park but we also get a bus stop view so feel sometimes feel its not worth the extra points DIL did suggest the treehouse villas but they have a baby and small toddler and we have a son in a wheelchair so the only parking for 1 car would be a major thing so putting me off the treeshouses
