Using phone in USA...Three sim or one from USA?
Last year we used a Three Feel at Home sim for our stay...it was soso but good enough for the odd kids snapchat, viber posts and for Uber etc. I think it cost me £15 per sim last year.
We are on Vodafone and EE at home, and the prices they still want to charge for using our data in the states is crazy. So is my best best getting more Three Feel at home sims (this time i will have 3 of them) or would i be better getting a USA sim once we arrive? Any help/ suggestions appreciated. TIA |

Even though I'm now on three anyway, in previous years cost of the others has trumped it.
I also found as others have suggested on here, selecting at&t as the roaming provider is better than T-Mobile which I think it defaults to |

Went into the 3 shop yesterday (as we are both on Vodaphone ) Going to get a 3 sim preloaded with £35 which gives unlimited data and the calls are 3p a minute texts 1p? for 30 days. We want it for the data as use it as a sat nav etc. Not paying £6 a day for vodaphone

There is no unlimited data when roaming in the US. It is capped at 9Gb so there is no need to pay more than £20 for the all in one addon, which includes 300 mins, unlimited txt's and as I said 9Gb of(3g) data.

Three is 3G only and throttled and you can’t hot spot or stream and it’s capped at 12gb
For sat nav, web browsing and social media browsing its fine

You could also change your EE plan to a max plan that gives you free roaming in the USA with 4g

Sorry for being so thick but does this mean if we get the three sim and package for a month we will be able to use phone for sat nav?
Thanks |

Sorry I can't help at all about SIM cards but if you only want to use your phone as a satnav then just download "HERE WE GO" free.
Make sure that you download the Florida maps in the UK (or in a reliable wifi location over there) and you can use it without using data. Mick
