Does anyone here live in Tamworth?

Just wondering if any Dibbers live in Tamworth and which are the best areas to live?

We currently live in a village in Solihull which is a very expensive/affluent area so you don’t get much house for the money.

We want to downsize (mortgage wise) and currently looking at Tamworth and the surrounding villages.
As a Brummie, all we’ve ever heard is derisive comments about Tamworth (and other newish towns in the WM) but know that all areas have their good and bad places.

We just need to be near the M42 to travel back to Solihull and love the fact that we can get a great house for a lot less than where we now live.

So, we’ve researched and seen that certain areas are better, but feel that those who live there are a better guide.

It’s handy for Drayton Manor and Thomas Land!

Have a look at Evesham and the surrounding villages. I used to commute into Solihull and it's an easy journey.

As nice as Solihull is, house prices are ridiculous and to us, it’s not worth the huge mortgage.
Life is for living, we like to get out and about, a house is where we sleep and keep our things - that’s it really. As long as we live in a decent area where we feel safe, that’s all we care about.

I’m sure it’s lovely, but too far away for us 🙂

Again, Evesham is nice, it’s just a little too far for us.

Thank you.
We’ve been looking at Dosthill and Two Gates. Also, maybe the west side of Wilnecote. Any advice would be great 😊

All those areas are nice, easy access to the M42. Have you looked at Kingsbury?
