Ok- we have now decided (i have decided anyway) our new back up now includes Maxico and (orlando- well it would be rude not to.)

Can get some amazing prices by booking both bits together as a package through BA-

Anyone have any help on wheres best to avoid the seaweed? and for hotels is Hard Rock with Limitless resort credit worth £1550 extra for 2 weeks over say Moon Palace or Panama Jacks?

any help will be great...

There will be 2 adult and 1 8year old who has ASD (plus if my daughters nice to me and the prices are correct her and her partner (20 year old +22 year old)

When I was there early June the seaweed was basically along the whole coast but the resorts clear it all the time with machinery.

I didn’t let it spoil my holiday which was basically a waiting game to get into USA.

Having stayed at The Moon Palace (albeit a LONG time ago), I'd say yes, it wouldn't be on my shortlist.

We stayed at Bahia Principe, it has a swimming area that is walled off, so I would assume you would get no seaweed there. The hotel is 4 hotels in 1 (one is 'exclusive' but the others you can visit any of the 3, so have about 10 restaurants to choose from.

We've booked Iberostar Tucan near Playa del Carmen. The seaweed has been a big problem this year along the whole coast and the hotels have been cleaning it up every day. Never been before so really looking forward to it if it goes ahead.

We have stayed at Moon Palace and Hard Rock Cancun, the beach at Hard Rock is much better but we prefer the facilities and space at Moon Palace.

What we tend to do each time we stay at Moon Palace is get a taxi to the Beach Palace which is on the same beach as Hard Rock, while you are at Beach Palace you can basically use your all inclusive the same as you would at Moon Palace.
