Mobile Ring doorbell or similar

Hi, we want to get a ring doorbell or similar but is there one that doesn't need electric to the actual doorbell. Battery and then mains elsewhere

I have a Ring2 that is battery rather than hard wired. It’s been great and never failed even though the design of my house sometimes makes WiFi problematic. I did buy a spare battery so I don’t lose coverage when charging

Ring does not require mains to the doorbell. They have a battery that depending on how you set it up needs recharging every few months.

The chime if you want one alongside the app on your phone plugs in, but that can be any socket.

Hi, we’re looking at getting one of these too. The Ring doorbells we are looking at are powered by battery. See this link

Ring also do a chime device so you can hear the bell go off around the home. See link here

Ring have both battery and mains versions. As long as you don’t mind taking battery out and charging every now and again. I have had both, it does say in the app when battery is getting low.👍

I have a Eufy, it charges like a phone. The charge lasts approximately 4 months.

Just to add I have 2 chimes - one came with the phone and I bought another from Amazon. I have the ring app on my phone and iPad and it’s linked to my Alexa

We have the Ring and the chime, due to wanting to hear the doorbell in the far part of the house and garden.

ring may not need power but it does need a subscription if you want to fully use it.

We have the ring doorbell3 which is battery operated as well as the outdoor cameras, which can be hard wired or battery.
Its all connected via my phone/watch.

As said above you do need a subscription which is free for 30 days.
