This will be the first of many now that a second summer is dwindling away. Aviation has had zero financial help (apart from Furlough) yet remains one of the hardest hit industries. Airlines simply cannot afford to not operate.

Final nail in the coffin of my trip then. We were flying via LBA to Dublin on Stobartair as part of our trip in August. Hey ho.

Stobart Air are the operator for our 24 July MAN-DUB flight as part of our Aer Lingus MAN-DUB-MCO booking. Only got a schedule change earlier this week moving that leg forward 40 minutes but still mentioned Stobart as the operator.

Shame for the company and its staff.

Edited at 10:40 AM.

I am often on that flight (or was) hopefully an alternative will eventually reappear. Otherwise Ryanair have a monopoly.

I'm sure Ryan Air will fill the gap.

Get on the direct from MAN instead, while you can.

The direct flights start around 5 days after our scheduled departure date though we are booked on the direct flights for the return leg. I’ll see what they offer us as there are 18 in our group so would need to accommodate us all but in reality I don’t expect flights to the USA to be operating by then anyway.

Direct flights from MAN to MCO scheduled to start on 29th July. Relying on US/UK borders opening of course.
