Is this a good price?

Hi all

Me and my gf are booked new September

We were originally booked in all star movies, going virgin from lhr in economy delight, which came in at £5100 for both

We have now since change to pop century and upgrade to premium both ways, for an extra £750pp

Is this a good price? Or should we have waited

Personally I think that's quite expensive. Assuming you're going for 14 nights, Pop Century plus tickets costs £3336 direct with Disney.

So I make that £3265 for flights? I don't tend to fly PE but I don't think I'd pay more than around £1000pp.

The upgrade price is fair (pretty much the same as I can do DIY using 2021 flight prices as a guide) but your initial 5k quote for ASMo was on the high side. Even including Universal tickets, that made your flights about £825pp.

I'd agree around 1k pp for PE in September is reasonable. Although I'd probably expect to pay a little more since VS have hiked their prices.

I have used Virgin several times in the past. However, when looking at ‘22, I found their prices very high. With a direct side by side comparison with BA, they were almost 2 grand more expensive for our April trip.

Well I would have waited until September flights are released, but if you are happy with the price and get value out of being booked then that is all that really matters. But you have paid a lot for peace of mind. Your hotel and both sets of tickets would be about £4K so that is £2600 for flights, which even in premium is on the high side.

If you are happy with it then get it booked

2022 is rapidly filling up & expensive as anything

our flight from 2021 we transfered to August 2022 Sat 19th we got the last 3 seats on the plane out

this was tui, paid more then we ever have done, but im tied to these dates & for the ease of flying direct from NCL its done & paid for now

Worth noting that Virgin don't charge to reserve your seat which can be done immediately. In fact we had our seats reserved before we even committed to the flight. BA won't let you reserve a seat until the full balance is paid etc and then they will charge. Their charges are vague too and it could be anything from £45 per seat each way, more likely £70-100.
