Barbados recommended hotels/areas please

Please can anyone recommend a reasonably priced hotel and area in Barbados. Most likely 4* with a nice pool and relaxed vibe.

We cannot book Sandals as we have 16 & 17yr old with us but would have loved it as we like a resort feel

We stayed at Sea Breeze 5 years ago when our two were 14 and 10, near Oistins. Fab hotel, lovely staff, plenty of water sports to do, would definitely go back

I would second Sea Breeze. I prefer the South Coast too, as it’s closer to the airport, Oistins etc. and the beaches are still really nice.

Thank you. The Elegance hotels are coming in at £18-25k plus flights - not really what I want to be paying 😳

Everything I’ve seen seems to be South Coast and then there’s the odd west cost one.

We had a lovely stay at The Southern Palms, St Lawrence Gap in 2015. It’s in an amazing location & The gap is great.
We had room only as so many amazing restaurants in walking distance but you can stay B&B, half board or full board.
Our kids were 19 & 16 when we went.
Best thing was sitting on a sun bed under a palm tree on the beach running alongside the hotel watching turtles in the sea.
We booked as a package with VH & would return in a heartbeat x

I booked yesterday, 3 of us travelling august 15th for 10 nights. I booked the Tamarind and booked through Virgin holidays who had the best price by quite a chunk which surprised me. This will be our first trip to Barbados and I have spent the last few weeks researching, finding resorts that I loved which then became unavailable. The pre flight testing is making me feel very nervous, we are both working and daughter is socialising and so we will have everything crossed that we stay COVID free.

Need to now ensure that I book all of the correct tests!

Is it true that the South Coast beaches suffer from the Sargassum more than the others or is it a myth.
