Same! Although on the right side of Manchester - everything below Manchester feels like the south to me or at least the middle.

For me, I consider everything above Stoke to be the "north". Between Stoke and Worcester/Northampton to be the "middle". And anything south of that to be, well, the "south".

But then I'm from Cheshire so I try to include Cheshire in the "north". I'm sure many would call it the middle, or even the south.

Why do northerners seem to get such a ribbing?

I’m Scottish so don’t really know much about the north/south divide (I’m not even sure if that’s even a thing )

Yes . Lived in Bury all my life other than 3 years at Newcastle Uni
