The best things we love from there are the lasagne, Thai fish cakes, the yogurt and granola pots with the passion fruit in the bottom, French baton, buttermilk chicken steaks, coffee and walnut cake, mango salad pots and the superfood salads. No other supermarkets come close to doing salads as good as they do.

Frozen chocolate chip cookie dough to bake at home is the best thing for us at M and S, really nice, not too sweet.

Let’s have a blast from the past. 1982 we bought out first house and on a Saturday used to have a treat. All from Marksys
Prawn and Mushroom crepes as an appetiser
Then huge chicken breast that came infused with a sage and onion flavour. Mmm.
Also broccoli stems and florets in a cheese and tomato sauce. A long tin tray not some small round tray like now.

Back then chicken seemed to be big whereas now I think they all use Budgie breasts

A few favourites at the moment are their Butter chicken, best ever mac and cheese and the individual Victoria sponge muffins. Oh and the Cornish cruncher cheese.

Try their Blacksticks cheese. Best I’ve had.

We like their best ever chicken Kiev’s. Plus, this week I received an email saying I was a Superstar Shopper in my local branch and the Number 4 shopper of sausages last month! We thought it was so funny. It was because we held a big family ‘Christmas dinner’ in the garden at the beginning of June and I bought over 60 sausages in one go (do not ask how many pigs in blankets my sons in law and other family members eat!).😀

The Best Ever Steak pie is the best pie I have ever had, love it. We regularly shop at M&S now there are just two of us, so much of their stock I love!

I do remember that broccoli and tomato dish - it was fabulous

I also remember a breakfast croissant you baked in the oven - it was mushroom and cheese

Their plant based options are amazing! Especially the Kiev’s.

I can go back further, we used to buy our Yugoslav Reisling from M and S. I can't remember details but I'm sure it was a green bottle with a yellow label.
