I think so! We live in London, eldest daughter lives in Yorkshire, she’s lived there so long now she has the accent and says every ‘northern’ thing listed in this thread Every time we FaceTime her and the grandkids we say ‘oh my, she sounds SO northern!’. Even though we know, it still throws us as she was born/brought up down here. Sometimes she has to repeat what we say to the kids as they don’t pick it up first time with our accent. It’s so strange, I never get used to it.

A few people have already answered these. Here's my response (I'm from Cheshire).
No, I don't use t'. Yes, I will sometimes say "brew" instead of "cup of tea". Yes, I sometimes say "pop". No, it's not compulsory. But when buying chips from a chippy, it's nice to have thick, chip shop gravy on your chips (it is different to the gravy on a roast dinner). I am multilingual and will use a variety of names for bread rolls - baps, balms, batches, and buns. But I think I often call them rolls. I usually eat pork pies cold. But I have had them hot. No, traffic islands and roundabouts are different things.

We all know that the famous Hovis hill is in Dorset not the North! (to confirm my Southern ‘ness’ - born in Portsmouth and lived in Dorset / Wiltshire since I was 4).
