Busch Gardens Photo safari Feb 2013

A fabulous behind the scenes photo safari. Unfortunately the weather was freezing hence the fleeces however because the weather was cooler we got to see a lot more activity with the animals. This tour is only run a few times per year and must be booked in advance. It was well worth the $99 per person price tag!

We arrived at 8.30am and met with David our tour guide and our driver then boarded the safari truck and went behind the scenes on the savannah.

We saw Rhino, giraffe, zebra and lots more up close and personal!

After seeing giraffes, rhino and zebra on the savannah we headed over to the lion enclosure where the keepers were waiting for us and fed the lions. The view was fabulous! We were so close!

Next stop was the hippos where again the keeper was waiting with food and we were allowed up above the hippo pool to watch them being fed.

The tigers weren't part of the tour but there are fabulous photo opportunities all around the tiger enclosure

Gorilla enclosure was part of the tour and again the keepers were waiting for us with food to allow us to get great photos of the animals. We were allowed in the keeper only access areas to get closer to the animals.

This big boy was in the lake by the entrance!
