Shouldnt Disney offer discounts due to the lesser park experience now on offer?

I'm sure lots of people visiting Disney in July/August/September this year must be thinking this but now Disney have announcement what visitors can and cannot do from July 11th onwards Disney should heavily discount the ticket price dont you think?

No parades, fireworks, meet and greet (likely no character meals), no shows should = park ticket discount?

Not only for existing bookings in the short term but for longer term bookings if the restrictions on the experience continue.

As a side note, do you think Disney should honour 2020 prices if an existing booking wants to move the exact same holiday and dates to 2021?

Disney are a PLC, shareholders come first unfortunately. I do however agree that some sort of discount should be offered for the very much reduced experience

The effect of demand and supply will once again come into play. Its the capitalist system that we are all part of.

If some people are prepared to pay the same for a reduced experience and Disney can operate to a revised capacity with existing prices, then the answer is no and whilst I appreciate the sentiments of this post, with great respect we might have to suck it up.

The problem here, and it’s true of most businesses is that none of this is anyone’s fault so you then have to consider who should be the most out of pocket. If you want to go to Disney this year you have to accept that these restrictions are in place. Equally if you choose to move to next year you have to accept that the price will likely go up. Ok, it’s not your fault either but then how much do you expect Disney to give you for something that they have no control over?

Sadly, I agree that Disney will charge whatever the market will bear. Lots of people will pay full price at Disney for half the experience.

On the plus side, when you visit it won't be as crowded. I've been to Disney world twice now and I've never watched the magic kingdom fireworks. I've seen the parade but not overly bothered about it. We have met a few characters and that is nice. But I like the rides the best so would swap all of that for a quieter park. I do think though that refunds should be offered for those that would sooner not visit due to the changes.
