Yeah you get an email to take to guest services or ticket desk if your hotel has one. We've exchanged our voucher at the HRH in previous years.

Whereas my reply from Universal said this!
To clarify, the current 3 Months Free offer for Annual Pass purchases is valid until September 30, 2020. That means that the pass has to be purchased and used by September 30, 2020 to get the three (3) free months. If you were to purchase the pass and not use it until after that date, you would still get the twelve (12) months of the pass from whatever date you decide to activate it in the future, but you would not receive the three (3) free months. |

Mickie that does contradict the info from at the beginning of this thread, Disney Nanny I think, the reason I remember is that it is "usual" for Universal to put a start before date but in this instance her answer was not.

I've just checked my confirmation and it states that I've purchased a 2 Park 15 Month Seasonal Adult Pass. Nothing in the T&C's about an activation date at all.

A few of us have posted to this thread that we've asked Universal the question and have been told there is no activation date. I belong to a Universal FB group and it's asked a lot on there. Several people have rung Universal and all have been told there is no activation date. They just have to be bought by 30th September.

Yes I did go back to Universal to ask them if that is what they really meant to say! Will post the response when I get it. That wasn’t actually my main query as I thought it had been settled.
I was asking about block out dates. They actually said block out dates were likely to be different next year due to disruption. |

I wonder when blackout dates will be published. I am due to go 16th august 2021 for 11 nights.

This is what they said when I asked. I was specifically wondering about seasonal block out dates in August for Volcano Bay. They seem to be first half of August which would be fine, this answer isn’t particularly helpful in that point!
I can say that, historically, blockout dates for the following year have been announced closer to the end of the year. Also, due to the current conditions, and the phased reopening of our resort, it’s possible that blockout dates for 2021 may be significantly different from the 2020 blockout dates, as we adjust to the expected crowds throughout the year. |
