But you also need to check the basics. If you have a laptop plug that into the wifi router with a Ethernet cable and do a speed test ( speedtest.net) you should see this fly if its low then ask everyone to stop using the net for a minute and do it again. If its still low contact virgin and tell them you have a problem. Once you have proved that then using the app around the house to test locations. The app will actually change some router settings if it needs to.
The other thing you can do is goto 192.168.0.1/?device_connectio...nnectedDevices you will need your router password for this , on a sticker on the router if you have not changed it. That page shows what is connected and the speed they are getting. I have to say my virgin hub is on the ground floor and i work in the loft extension and i'm getting a great signal. If you do notice slow connections around the house then wifi extenders are good and virgin do occasionally give them for free , especially if your contract is up, this is a bargaining tool. |

Hi again all, so sorry I haven’t been back on as I’ve been trying to sort it out.
This evening I happened to have an email through from Virgin about my new package and there was a phone number to ring with any queries. I gave it a try, fully expecting it to tell me they were too busy at the moment, but I actually got through to a really helpful chap and he could see that my devices upstairs were really struggling and he’s agreed to send out a booster free of charge on Thursday and he thinks it is 90% likely to solve our problems, so I guess we shall see! Thank you all so much for posting, I admit I don’t remotely understand any of this, but I will keep this thread should I still have problems after Thursday! Many thanks again - I really appreciate it 👍 |

Good luck with the boosters and hope they solve the problem.
