How busy was July? Anyone there 24th.?
Hi we’re here now and crowd levels ok, at universal now and crowds bearable we’ve got express passes but most rides under 40 minutes , we got on and off forbidden journey in 8 minutes with express yesterday , hagrids 75 mins. Anyway I’ve seen a direct flight from Newcastle direct for £610 July 23rd next year, I’m just wondering how bad crowds are when American schools still off , seems a really good price and airport 45 mins on train

We flew out on the 19th July and only did Universal this time , we thoughts crowds were not too bad as schools were still off in the US , however we did have annual passes so express after 1600 and then went to Portofino for 5 nights so express all day . Restaurants etc were quite busy but we just ate where we could during the day and booked at night .

We were there last year from 22nd July for three weeks, did Universal and then Disney - can't say I noticed it being particularly busy, didn't enjoy Epcot due to the building work which seemed to make it feel more crammed but other than that no issues!

24th July was our 1st park day this year. We broke with tradition and went to HS. We found it really busy. When we entered the park about 1030, ROR wait times 180 minutes, Smugglers run was 120 and the Mickey n Minnie train was 100 minutes. I remember saying to dh that people would be lucky to do 3-4 rides that day.
We did get some stuff done but not as much as when we've been in September... and the heat was brutal this year so we headed into more shows than normal in one day, to cool down. We found the 1st week of our tickets slightly busier than the 2nd week but we were glad to have 14 day tickets so that we could get everything done that we wanted to over a fortnight. |

We were there this year July 14th-28th and found it crazy busy. All the big attractions were averaging 75 mins or more. However we did only do Disney so can’t comment on Universal. Personally wouldn’t go in July again unless I had to, more for the heat this heat wave was hotter than hell 😅
