Thumbs up Seaworld discount & Disney GAC

Hi ya,

Here is the reply we had from Seaworld: -

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Thank you for your email.SeaWorld Orlando offers a discount for guests with disabilities and one support companion. The discount is intended for guests who are not able to reasonably enjoy our park. Persons who are eligible for this rate receive a 50% discount off the regular admission price. The current Regular admission price is $69.95 plus tax for adults and $59.95 plus tax for children ages 3-9. Please inform our Ticket seller at the time of your purchase and they will be happy to assist you.

Thank you again for your interest.

Sincerely,

Amber
SeaWorld Orlando

As for the cost, I paid $149 (inc Tax) and that was for four of us, Maxine (my wife), Kellie (DD & wheelchair user) & Ben (DS). I went to the Customer service counter and they did not ask for any proof of Kellies' disabilities and paid for entry there.

Getting a GAC at Disney was quite easy, just explaned Kellies situation and they produced the GAC at the Guest Relations Desk. However because the parks were VERY, VERY quite we did not encounter any long lines and more often than not we were asked if we wanted to stay on the ride for a second or third time!

Will give further updates on the vacation when we get round to doing our trip report,

Nice to be back in cold England, NOT!

Missed you all,

D & M

I didn't know about the discount for Seaworld so prepurchased tickets for my mum and dad. My dad has a blue badge, do you think if he explained at the kiosk, they might refund him some money?

Hi

I had emailed Busch Gardens and they replied that discount applies to:
guests who are confined to a wheelchair, legally deaf, or legally blind.
I have walking difficulties and will be taking my ecv with me but I am not confined to a wheelchair/scooter so am I right in thinking that this would not apply to myself.
thanks
